DAY 1 Wednesday Depart San Francisco for Beijing, China

DAY 2 Thursday Arrive Beijing

On arrival, you are escorted to your hotel.

DAY 3 Friday Beijing

Sightseeing tour of Beijing includes vast Tiananmen Square and the Imperial Palace in the Forbidden City, including the jewelry section. This afternoon, a fun-filled pedicab ride takes you through the Hutong district's ancient narrow streets to enjoy a close-up look at the heritage of this exciting city, including a visit with a local family. Then make a stop at the Drum Tower for a panoramic view of the city. Tonight, toast your arrival in China with a glass of wine at a Beijing Duck welcome dinner party.

DAY 4 ? Saturday ? Beijing

Walk along the Great Wall today. Stroll along the Sacred Way to the Ming Tombs and Chang Ling Exhi-bition Hall and then visit a cloisonn factory. Buffet dinner at The Ritz-Carlton.

DAY 5 Sunday Beijing/Shanghai

Late morning flight to Shanghai. Check into your Five-Star hotel, then enjoy a buffet dinner at the hotel.

DAY 6 Monday Shanghai

Sightseeing highlights: the Shanghai Museum, including an audio tour pointing out the special features of the museum's permanent collection, Nanjing or Huai Hai Road shopping streets, the Yu Garden, The Bund, the Children's Palace and then a visit a carpet factory. Tonight, after dinner, attend a performance of the renowned Shanghai acrobats.

DAY 7 Tuesday Shanghai/Xi'an

The morning is at leisure. Afternoon, fly to historic Xi'an. This evening, enjoy dinner and a fabulous show at the Tang Dynasty Theatre.

DAY 8 Wednesday Xi'an

See the famed legion of terra-cotta warriors, buried for over 2200 years, and the Bronze Chariot. Enjoy the Circle Vision Movie. On to visit the Shaanxi Provincial Historical Museum with our exclusive visit to the private artifact room, where you may white-glove handle some of the national treasures from the museum's collection. Then enjoy a dumpling lunch at renowned Defachang Restaurant. Tonight, enjoy a buffet dinner at the hotel.

DAY 9 Thursday Xi'an/Guilin

This morning visit exquisite Wild Goose Pagoda. Then in the afternoon fly to Guilin, set in the heart of a magnificent landscape.

DAY 10 Friday Guilin

A deluxe cruise on an air-conditioned boat along the Li River reveals the haunting beauty of Guilin's mist-wrapped peaks en route to Yangshuo. Enjoy lunch on board the boat. Buffet dinner at the Sheraton.

DAY 11 Saturday Guilin/Hong Kong

This morning, see dramatic rock formations at Reed Flute Cave and Fu Bo Hill. Enjoy a lunch of dim sum specialties at the Sheraton. Then take an afternoon flight to Hong Kong.

DAY 12 Sunday Hong Kong

Today you tour the Royal Grand Palace, a complex of splendid gilded pavilions, statuary and Wat Phra Kaeo, the temple holding the Emerald Buddha, Thailand's most sacred icon. Tonight, feast on Thai delicacies, and enjoy traditional Thai dances.

DAY 16 Thursday Bangkok
