DAY 5 Friday Tokyo/Mount Fuji/Hakone
Early morning drive to Mount Fuji, where you stop at the 5th station, halfway up the mountain, for breathtaking views. Proceed to scenic Hakone National Park, with a cruise on Lake Ashi and a cable car ride up Mount Komagatake for a panoramic view of Hakone National Park. DAY 6 Saturday Hakone/Mishima/Kyoto
Travel through scenic landscapes to Mishima, nestled between Mt. Fuji and the Izu Peninsula. Board the famous bullet train to Kyoto, Japan's cultural pearl. Blessed with natural beauty and steeped in tradition, Kyoto's rich history is evident in its well-preserved temples and shrines, unique to the region. DAY 7 Sunday Kyoto
Tour renowned Nijo Castle (or Ryoanji Temple), Kinka-kuji Temple's Golden Pavilion, Kyoto Imperial Palace or Higashi Honganji Temple and the Kyoto Handicraft Center. In the afternoon, perhaps take an optional tour to Nara's Todaiji Temple and Kasuga Shrine, where tame deer peer out between medieval stone lanterns. MEALS: American Breakfast
DAY 8 Monday Kyoto/Hiroshima

DAY 9 Tuesday Hiroshima (Miyajima Excursion)
In the morning, travel by motorcoach to Miyajima-guchi. Ferry to Miyajima Island, and see its vermilion Torii gate rising 53 feet out of the water, marking the approach to Itsukushima Shrine. Then return to Hiroshima where you visit the Peace Memorial Park and Peace Memorial Museum. MEALS: American Breakfast
DAY 10 Wednesday Hiroshima/Okayama/Kurashiki*
After breakfast, take a train to Okayama, where you tour Okayama Castle and Korakuen Park. Then continue to Kurashiki. Kurashiki Kokusai Hotel MEALS: American Breakfast *Your luggage will be shipped by separate vehicle between some cities; travel to Hakone, Hiroshima and Kurashiki with an overnight bag.
DAY 11 Thursday Kurashiki/Osaka
