Passports and Visas: To enter and leave USA all tour participants must be in possession of a valid passport or other document with a minimum of 6 months to expiration. Visas for China are required of all tour members. Detailed visa information will be mailed to you after the reservation is made. Deposits and Final
Payments: Deposit of US $300 per person is required upon confirmation. If you book the tour with Yangtze River Cruise, you need to pay deposit of $500 per person. This deposit forms part of your final payment that is due 70 days prior to departure. Reservations made within 60 days prior to departure require full payment at time of booking. You may make your final payment by check, money order, American Express, Discover, Visa and Master cards. Your credit card number will be directly given to the airlines for the airline tickets.
Cancellation Fees: Passengers who cancel their reservations prior to departure are subject to the following cancellations fees for all tours:
. 70 days or more before departure: $300
. 69 - 45 days before departure: $400
. 44 -16 days prior to departure: $600
. 15-1 days before departure: 50% of tour fare
Plus any charges assessed by land operators, airlines and cruise companies
. On or after departure date: 100% of tour fare.
Health: Neither health certificates nor inoculations are required for entry into China. Any physical or mental disability requiring special attention must be noted at the time of booking the tour. China Tours reserves the right to exclude participants who are physically or mentally ill before departure or during the tour.
Travel Insurance: China Tours strongly recommends that tour participants purchase a travel insurance policy, including trip cancellation, trip interruption, accident, health and baggage. Upon reservation, we will provide the travel insurance information from Travel Guard International.
Baggage: At owner's risk throughout. Baggage allowance differs for the transpacific and China sections of your tour. US and non-stop transpacific allowance is two pieces of checked baggage totaling 106 inches (sum of the three dimensions. Baggage allowance within China is one piece of baggage not over 44 pounds per person.
Meals: Meals provided in the tour cost are indicated at the end of each day's sightseeing activities as: (B) for breakfast, (L) for lunch and (D) for dinner, (SD) for special dinner. Vegetarian food must be noted at the time the reservation is made. Breakfasts are American and Continental in the hotels; Lunches and dinners are Chinese style.
Hotels & Cruises: Accommodation is provided in deluxe and first class hotels in twin bedded rooms with private facilities. If a change becomes necessary for any reason, hotels substituted will be of equivalent standard to those shown. Please note that throughout China is standard policy that hotel rooms are not available for check-in before 12:00N. During peak travel periods, we may change the similar cruise lines for the same dates.
Airlines: As for international air carrier to China and Asia, we use a variety of reputable airlines, such as Northwest Airlines, Chinese Eastern Airlines, Japan Airlines, American Airlines, Air China, China Airlines, Asiana Airlines, etc. depending on your preference and your departure city, we will select the carrier that offer your best connections. During peak travel periods, it may be necessary to request your full payment for air upon reservation.
Tips and Taxes: Taxes for all domestic flights are not included. Travelers have to pay at the airport and only in Chinese currency. The local guide will collect the exact amount at the airport before departure. International Departure Tax in China is RMB90 (about 11 US dollars) and airport taxes for domestic flights are RMB50 (about 6 US dollars). Tips to restaurant and hotel waiters, chambermaids, and porters are not included. The customary end of tour gratuity to your guides and drivers are not included.
Tour documents: Tour documents, including any air tickets, are sent by Fedex, Airborne or Express Mail two weeks prior to departure.
Tour Price includes: round trip economy airfare from indicated gateway cities, hotel accommodations, transportation, admission to indicated tourist spots and meals.
Tour Price does not include: airport construction fee within China, airport tax, insurance, excess baggage, visa fee, tips for tour guides, porters or tour manager, or items of personal nature such as laundry, alcoholic beverages and telephone calls.
Responsibility: China Tours acts only as an agent for China's travel companies and other contractors providing the means of transportation, hotel accommodations, sightseeing and other travel services, and accepts no responsibility for any injury, loss, damage, accident, delay, or inconvenience which may be occasioned by reason engaged in making arrangements for the tour.
China Tours reserves the right to accept or reject any person as a tour participant, to expel any tour participant from the tour, to make changes in the itinerary whenever China Tours seems it necessary for the comfort, convenience or safety of the tour participants, or to cancel a tour at any time. If China Tours cancels a tour, we are responsible for the refund of all money paid to China Tours by the tour participants. All arrangements within China are arranged by China International Travel Service or other Chinese government authorities who reserve the right to change or readjust the tour schedule when necessary. Such actions are beyond the control of China Tours. All tour itineraries and prices are subject to change.
